Monogamy as an unquestioned norm is increasingly being examined, alternative relationship models are becoming more visible, sexuality is being de-tabooed — while at the same time the longing for emotional safety, mental health, and authentic closeness continues to grow.

INTIMATE FUTURES invites you to consciously explore this new era of relationships and intimacy

The conference explores polyamory and ethical non-monogamy (ENM) as important spaces of experience and learning for modern relationship design — not as an exclusive ideal, but as perspectives that make core questions of closeness, responsibility, communication, and self-reflection visible.

At the center are Mental Health and Sexual Health as inseparably connected foundations for individual, emotional, and relational well-being — across all relationship forms: monogamous, open, polyamorous, or beyond clear labels.

Over two days, international experts and practitioners share their insights on key questions of modern relationship cultures:

  • How can relationships be designed to be transparent, responsible, and fulfilling — regardless of their structure?

  • What emotional and communication skills are needed to keep freedom, commitment, and self-care in balance?

  • How can sexuality and intimacy be lived in a healthy, pleasurable, and sustainable way?

  • What role do consent, mental health, and sexual education play in contemporary relationship systems?

INTIMATE FUTURES It is a space for reflection, inspiration, and hands-on learning.

Participants receive insights, tools, and perspectives to shape their own Relationship Journeys to design more consciously and Mental & Sexual Health to understand as integral parts of a fulfilling life.

INTIMATE FUTURES is not a textbook on “the right” way to do relationships.
It is an invitation to intimacy, love, and sexuality responsible, reflective, and free to rethink.

The conference creates a safe, open space for all relationship forms, where conscious relationship design, Mental & Sexual Health and personal growth are at the center.

Here are reflection, exchange, and mutual learning possible — regardless of whether monogamous, polyamorous, open, or beyond clear labels.

We invite everyoneregardless of their relationship style, to question their own ideas of closeness, relationships, and intimacy, and to discover new perspectives — with focus on polyamory and ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and Mental & Sexual Health.

We especially welcome therapists, sexual and health educators, counselors, coaches, as well as professionals from social and healthcare fields, who wish to contribute to the development of modern relationship cultures with openness, reflection, and expertise.

The conference is more than an event — it is a platform for genuine exchange, networking, and collective growth.

We create a safe spacewhere participants of any relationship style can explore their own boundaries, ask questions, and discover new paths for conscious relationship design.

Q&A sessions, workshops, and informal encounters enable vibrant dialogue and hands-on learning in a supportive environment.

INTIMATE FUTURES invites you to think beyond familiar boundaries in relationships, intimacy, and sexuality — for all relationship styles, from monogamous to open to polyamorous.

After each talk, you have the opportunity to engage in Q&A-Sessions to dive deep into the topics and ask your own questions. All talks will be held in English with German subtitles.

During the breaks, snacks and drinks will be available at the buffet — an opportunity for networking and engaging in inspiring conversations.

So that all participants can be in a safe, relaxed, and open setting to connect with one another, the sessions start on time.

Location

INTIMATE FUTURES takes place at NordbahnSaal in Vienna's 2nd district, centrally located right on line O and just a few minutes from Praterstern.

The modern, flexible conference room provides the ideal setting for our event and accommodates up to 160 participants. The front and middle sections of the hall, as well as the area for speakers, are wheelchair accessible, including wheelchair spaces.

During the breaks, additional areas of the NordbahnHall are available for networking available. There will also be booths with informational materials and merchandise available.

The NordbahnHall combines modern infrastructure with an urban flair and is easily accessible by public transport.

To reach as many people as possible, we have intentionally kept the ticket prices for both days affordable. There are 160 tickets available on-site. For the first time, it will also be possible to attend the conference online.
